In this day and age, technology plays such a major role in the lives of people, where everyone either supports a Facebook account, a Twitter page, an Instagram profile or all three. This has led these social media portals to create a great influx in the obsession of image-keeping. This is a phenomenon defined by the certain outlook one projects through their social media profiles, or how they come across to other people. Through status updates, profile pictures and a constant stream of information displayed to the rest of the world, people are categorized as interesting or attractive. The pressure put on gaining an acceptance in the society or by the society, is unnatural. Ever since we are children, we are taught the importance of fitting in, of not being the odd one out.
